Arrêté sur l’élection du conseil de bandes indiennes

Attendu que le ministre des Affaires indiennes et du Nord canadien juge utile à la bonne administration des bandes visées aux annexes de l’arrêté ci-après de déclarer que le conseil de chacune de ces bandes sera constitué au moyen d’élections tenues selon la Loi sur les Indiens,

À ces causes, en vertu du paragraphe 74(1) de la Loi sur les Indiens, le ministre des Affaires indiennes et du Nord canadien prend l’Arrêté sur l’élection du conseil de bandes indiennes, ci-après.

Élection du conseil

  •  (1) Sous réserve du paragraphe (2), le conseil de chacune des bandes visées aux annexes I, II et III sera constitué, à compter du 4 mars 1997, au moyen d’élections tenues selon la Loi sur les Indiens.

  • (2) Le conseil d’une bande ajoutée aux annexes I, II ou III après le 31 mars 2010 sera constitué, à compter de la date de l’entrée en vigueur de la modification ajoutant la bande à l’annexe, au moyen d’élections tenues selon la Loi sur les Indiens.
