Order Designating the Commission of Inquiry into the Actions of Canadian Officials in Relation to Maher Arar as a Department and Designating the Prime Minister as Appropriate Minister with Respect to the Commission

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, hereby
(a) pursuant to paragraph (b)Footnote a of the definition department in section 2 of the Financial Administration Act, designates the Commission of Inquiry into the Actions of Canadian Officials in Relation to Maher Arar as a department for the purposes of that Act; and
Return to footnote aS.C. 1992, c. 1, s. 69(3)
(b) pursuant to paragraph (b)Footnote b of the definition appropriate Minister in section 2 of that Act, designates the Prime Minister as the appropriate Minister with respect to the Commission referred to in paragraph (a).
