His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Health, pursuant to paragraph 55(1)(o) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Acta, hereby makes the annexed Qualifications for Designations as Analysts Regulations.S.C. 1996, c. 19QualificationsThe Minister may, pursuant to section 44 of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act, designate a person as an analyst if the person has the following qualifications:a degree in a science related to the work to be carried out, awarded bya Canadian university, ora foreign university recognized by a Canadian university or professional association; ora combination, sufficient to perform the duties of the position, ofpractical experience in the area of responsibility, andformal education in a science related to the work to be carried out or other training related to that work.Coming into ForceThese Regulations come into force on the day on which they are registered.
