Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, is pleased hereby, on the recommendation of the Minister of Finance, pursuant to section 101 of the Customs Tariff*, to make the annexed Order respecting the remission of customs duties on satellites and satellite subsystems for testing and on goods for use in the manufacture of satellites and satellite subsystems.*S.C. 1987, c. 49Short Title

1This Order may be cited as the Satellites and Satellite Subsystems Remission Order, 1988.

Remission

2Subject to section 3, remission is hereby granted of the customs duties paid or payable under the Customs Tariff on satellites and satellite subsystems for testing and on goods for use in the manufacture of satellites and satellite subsystems, imported on or after January 1, 1988.

Condition

3The remission referred to in section 2 is granted on condition that a claim for remission is made to the Minister of National Revenue within three years of the date of importation.
