Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, hereby(a)pursuant to the definition department in subsection 2(1) of the Public Service Employment Act, designates the Office of Indian Residential Schools Resolution of Canada as a department for the purposes of that Act, and(b)pursuant to paragraph (b) of the definition deputy head in subsection 2(1) of the Public Service Employment Act, designates the Executive Director and Deputy Head of the Office of Indian Residential Schools Resolution of Canada as the deputy head of the Office of Indian Residential Schools Resolution of Canada for the purposes of that Act,effective June 4, 2001.
