2026 ANNUAL REPORT
STATUTES REPEAL ACT

This report has been prepared under the direction of the Minister of Justice as required by section 2 of the Statutes Repeal Act. It lists the Acts of Parliament or provisions of Acts of Parliament assented to nine years or more before December 31, 2025, and not in force on that day.

Section 3 of the Statutes Repeal Act provides as follows:

“3. Every Act or provision listed in the annual report is repealed on December 31 of the year in which the report is laid unless it comes into force on or before that December 31 or during that year either House of Parliament adopts a resolution that the Act or provision not be repealed.”

Note: An Act to amend the Canadian Forces Superannuation Act and to make consequential amendments to other Acts, S.C. 2003, c. 26
- Subsection 26(3) and section 36 are amending provisions that have been included in the Annual Report since 2013. They are not included in the 2026 Annual Report because they became spent on December 17, 2025, on the bringing into force of other provisions by Order in Council SI/2025-112 and can no longer produce any legal effects.

The Minister of Justice tabled the 2026 Annual Report prepared in accordance with the Statutes Repeal Act in the House of Commons on February 2, 2026 and in the Senate on February 3, 2026.
