Order Authorizing a Certain Employee of the Government of Canada to Acquire an Interest in Territorial Lands in the Northwest Territories

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development, pursuant to paragraph 29(1)(a) of the Territorial Lands Act, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Order authorizing a certain employee of the Government of Canada to acquire an interest in territorial lands in the Northwest Territories.

Short Title

 This Order may be cited as the Government Employees Land Acquisition Order, 1995, No. 2.

Authorization

 The employee of the Government of Canada named in the schedule is hereby authorized to acquire an interest in territorial lands in the Northwest Territories as described in the schedule.

SCHEDULE

George Douglas Lennie, of the Town of Inuvik in the Northwest Territories, Hydrometric Survey Technician, Water Survey of Canada, an employee of the Department of the Environment, to lease for a trapper’s cabin the whole of a parcel of land situated 10 air kilometres west of Inuvik on an unnamed channel 20 river kilometres upstream from Oniak Channel, in the Mackenzie Delta, at approximately 68°20′ North Latitude and 133°58′ West Longitude in Quad numbered 107 B/7 in the Northwest Territories, as said parcel is shown outlined in red on a sketch plan on file 33-1-12 in the Land Management Division of the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development at Ottawa, saving and excepting therefrom and reserving thereout all mines and minerals, including hydrocarbons, whether solid, liquid or gaseous and the right to work the same.
