Regulations Respecting Hours of Work for the Class of Employees Known as Commission Salesmen who are Employed in Connection with the Radio and Television Broadcasting Industry in Canada

His Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Minister of Labour, pursuant to section 31 and paragraph 32.1(1)(b) of the Canada Labour Code, is pleased hereby to make the annexed Regulations respecting hours of work for the class of employees known as commission salesmen who are employed in connection with the Radio and Television Broadcasting Industry in Canada.

Short Title

 These Regulations may be cited as the Broadcasting Industry Commission Salesmen Hours of Work Regulations.

Interpretation

 In these Regulations, Act means Part III of the Canada Labour Code.

Exemption

 The class of employees known as commission salesmen who are employed in connection with the radio and television broadcasting industry in Canada and paid on the basis of

  • (a) a commission, or

  • (b) a salary plus commission

are exempt from the application of sections 169, 171, 173 and 174 of the Act.
