Order Transferring from the Department of Industry to the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development the Control and Supervision of Aboriginal Business Canada and First Nations SchoolNet and Transferring from the Minister of Industry to the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development the Powers, Duties and Functions Relating to the National Aboriginal Economic Development Board

Her Excellency the Governor General in Council, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister, pursuant to paragraph 2(a)Footnote a of the Public Service Rearrangement and Transfer of Duties Act, hereby

  • (a) transfers from the Department of Industry to the Department of Indian Affairs and Northern Development the control and supervision of the following portions of the federal public administration within the Department of Industry:

    • (i) the portion of the Regional Operations Sector known as Aboriginal Business Canada, and

    • (ii) the portion of the E-Learning Directorate within the Information Highway Applications Branch within the Spectrum, Information Technologies and Telecommunications Sector known as First Nations SchoolNet, and

  • (b) transfers from the Minister of Industry to the Minister of Indian Affairs and Northern Development the powers, duties and functions of the Minister of Industry relating to the National Aboriginal Economic Development Board, established by Order in Council P.C. 1990–374 of February 23, 1990,

effective December 1, 2006.
